| August 8 Saturday. We visit Venice Beach, have dinner, and check in at the Universal Studios Sheraton. |

9 Sunday. We travel first to Gary's house to pick up supplies (and Gary), and then we make the trek from L.A. to Bishop, though the desert. |

10 Monday. Still taking it a bit easy, Michael, Dave and Jon hike the mountain trail newar the cabin in the morning. Then we head to town to tube down Bishop's Creek. |

11 Tuesday. The Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort is open during the summer for Mountain Biking. We rent bikes, they let you take the gondola to the top, and then you ride down. |

13 Thursday. We hike the Bishop's Pass Trail in the John Muir Wilderness. The starting elevation is about 9000 feet and we turn around just short of 12,000. |

14 Friday. We pose for a few group shots and head back to L.A. On the way we stop at the Manzanar Japanese Internment camp. |
